i had no idea how much i didn't know about computers

Well, I've been trying for hours now to create my own header using photoshop 7. I will get it eventually. I promise.

 In the meantime, I feel like I need to share my loot from Christmas. I am so lucky to have an almost hubby as thoughtful as he is. But seriously, I was spoiled. I'm not trying to brag at all, but I'm just so excited to have these useful things that I wouldn't buy for myself! I can't wait to use everything..gahh! And look at that fabric. swoon.

So, this definitely is not the right season, but I figured I'd post something I've actually made. ha ha. I had it in my mind to make a Halloween quilt right after I got my sewing machine. This was my first time doing anything but hand sewing, which I hadn't done except for mending since I was about 10 years old, so 12 years! I learned a lot in this project..not just about piecing, basting, quilting, binding, but about my sewing machine in general. This is where I started to appreciate the process. I love how it turned out, even though it is FAR from perfect. I think the cats like it too.
